The curious and lovers of nativity scenes and Christmas of any representation, can not miss the initiative "The Bible in the Park", now in the eighteenth edition, to be held at the Urban Park of Mercy, part of the municipality of Valderice. An event special and different from the others: in fact, it is not a real nativity scene or a play, but a transposition theme of biblical passages unique, articulated, as every year, through the representation of ten paintings static living. All made thanks to the sacrifice and passion of many people, which for obvious reasons are alternated in giving life to suggestive scenes from the Old and New Testament.
The event, which this year will be divided along a wider and spectacular, will address the delicate issue of the "Sapienza". "Blessed is the man that findeth wisdom," says the Book of Proverbs (Prv precisely. 3, 13): one of the many passages in which this important value is mentioned and which then opens the way for this eighteenth edition. With the aid of a staged reading and a guided path that faithfully recreates environments and historical contexts, the visitor will be accompanied among ravines, caves and a rich flora to the understanding of biblical themes represented, that just for their beauty and the īemotion that they feel have meant that the initiative and riconfermasse grow year after year.
Not only culture and faith, but also gastronomy. At the end of the path, in fact, the visitor will be able to make a journey to discover the flavors of the past, many of which are now unknown. Can taste typical dishes of the time to which reference is made in the biblical representation, thanks to the preparation by industry experts, which were based on thorough research about the customs and methods of food preparation than two thousand years ago.
