What to do in trapani

An evening of cinema to add to your stay in Trapani: on Thursday 19 November 2026 at 8:30 pm, the San Rocco Museum of Contemporary Art, on Via Turretta, will host a screening of Solo Sunny as part of the “Donne forti” (Strong Women) cultural programme.

Solo Sunny: A Story of Music and Independence

Directed by Konrad Wolf and set in East Germany, this 1980 film follows a young singer striving to succeed in music while preserving her independence. Artistic ambitions, social expectations and a desire for freedom shape the story of a woman determined to follow her own path.

The Donne forti Cultural Programme

The screening is part of an initiative organised by ICIT Trapani in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Italien, the San Rocco Museum and the Friends of the San Rocco Museum association. The programme brings together graphic novels, cinema and music to explore women’s experiences of courage, memory and self-expression.
