The exhibition offers an opportunity to reflect on crack cocaine use and its human and social consequences, using photography to bring attention to a reality that is often difficult to portray.
The photographic project by Alessio Angelo and Antonino Lombardo focuses on the spread of crack cocaine in western Sicily. Their images encourage visitors to reflect on an issue affecting individuals, families and entire communities, going beyond a simple portrayal of social hardship.
The exhibition will open on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 9:00 AM. The opening morning will involve four classes from the Graphic Design and Communication programme at the G.B. Amico Technical Institute in Trapani, who will take part in a creative workshop inspired by the exhibition´s themes.
The event will also feature contributions from psychotherapist Margherita Ippolito and Pina Lupo, president of an association supporting families affected by addiction.
CREPE will remain open until January 9, 2027, at the San Rocco Museum, located at Via Turretta 12 in Trapani´s historic centre. Admission to the exhibition is free.
For further information and to confirm opening hours, visitors can contact the museum on +39 379 270 5571 or email museosanrocco@gmail.com. Updates are also available on the San Rocco Museum´s Facebook page.
