It was 1978 when, in America, went to the movies the musical comedy "Thank God Itīs Friday", "Thank God Itīs Friday" with the intent to ride the wave of success of "Saturday Night Fever" with the new to propose further on Friday as evening entertainment. It is from this starting point that is born in Trapani, the cultural project of the same name: "Thank God Itīs Friday", not with the aim of unleashing dancing in the disco but - as explained by the creator and curator Liborio Palmeri - "of spend the evening DISTRIBUTORS "leisurely" thinking, that is, to ourselves and to our human formation. "
In summary, the proposal is clear: spend a Friday night at a place to feed your mind, heart and spirit through music, film, theater and literature.
Where? At the Centro Cultural San Rocco di Trapani, in the historical center! Participants, of course, prominent speakers and experts who will offer great interest issues and initiatives.
It starts Friday, November 7 at 21, with the first series of meetings devoted to spirituality. The scene will be all for the conference "The origins of monasticism: the conversion of Levi", which will be led by Professor Filuppo Burgarella, Professor of Byzantine History at the University of Calabria.
Second meeting on 21 November, will be furnished by Fabio Pizzitola, who will entertain the audience with "In the footsteps of the fathers of the desert: the library of the Philokalia." Appointment always at 21.
