Everything is ready for the sixth edition of Trapani Comix and Games, the Mediterranean Festival of Pop Culture organized by the Nerd Attack association with the patronage of the municipality of Trapani.
Also this year, from May 23 to 25, the municipal gardens of Villa Margherita will be the suggestive location of the stands that will host cartoonists and operators in the gaming and nerd entertainment sector.
For three days the avenues will transform into a place where superheroes and characters from the world of comics will welcome fans of the genre.
And they are not few since the numbers of the past editions are truly impressive, with over 26 thousand presences and recording a high turnout from the early hours among young people, children and families.
Also this year the organizers propose a truly interesting program, with three days of great guests and characters from the world of comics and games that are so passionate about the kids who follow them on social media.
One of these is Kodomo, present in Trapani on Saturday 24 May to meet all her fans in person. She is a curious, chameleonic, ironic artist who also participated as a singer in the television program The Voice.
Staying in the musical field, Cristina D’Avena returns by popular demand and, on the stage of the Villa Margherita theater, will perform in an amazing concert on 23 May to the rhythm of the theme songs of the historic cartoons so loved by the generation of forty-year-olds.
Even if the program has not been officially presented, some names have already leaked thanks to the previews provided by the organization´s social media. Names like Gabriel Gaiba, a character who with his over 3 million followers and almost half a billion views is a point of reference for entire generations of gamers.
Trapani Comix will also be “off”, with events and demonstrations outside Villa Margherita and a show at the Ariston cinema theater entitled “Missione Spaziale”, scheduled for 9 am on Friday 23 May. This is a brilliant and engaging theatrical show reserved for schools, capable of combining scientific dissemination and comedy and taking children on an educational adventure between science and fantasy.
This year´s initiative that has aroused great appreciation among the citizens of Trapani is the "Comix in vetrina", a project born in collaboration with Confesercenti provinciale Trapani and with the patronage of the municipality of Trapani. The shop windows of commercial activities have been transformed into real galleries, thanks to the artists who have decorated them with characters inspired by the world of entertainment and the traditions of the city, such as the procession of the Mysteries.
