The international exhibition dedicated to street food is back in the usual way, that is, in Piazza Ex Mercato del Pesce in Trapani. During the pandemic it was held in a smart version or at each commercial establishment participating in the initiative.
Finally this fourteenth edition resumes its journey through the itineraries of taste, welcoming numerous producers of the Mediterranean and not only with an increasingly rich culinary program, which will surely make the many tourists who flock to our territory lick their lips in a summer to say the least. not very hot.
For five days, from 27 to 31 July, the "Ex Mercato del Pesce" square will return, as already mentioned after the pandemic break, to being a huge open-air kitchen, where many specialties not only from Trapani are waiting to be "devoured" .
Among the gastronomic novelties of this year there will be the Nebrodi black pig roast pork and Mexican cuisine. And again boiled octopus, sardines a beccafico, traditional hand-made lemon granita and the yellow Paceco melon, while this year there will be wine tasting at the splendid terrace of the Tramontana walls.
The event is organized by the Trapani Welcome association with the patronage of the municipality of Trapani and also includes a rich entertainment program with various moments of cooking shows and entertaining live musical performances.
Stragusto is twinned with the Festival of Porchetta dŽItalia which is held every year in June in S. Terenziano in Umbria, where the best producers of porchetta come together to taste one of the tastiest, most ancient and popular foods of Italian cuisine.
The Stragusto stands will be open every evening from 18.30 to 24.00 with the possibility of purchasing tickets for the tasting specialties.
