The curtain rises on the 62nd Concert Season 2015/2016 organized by the "Friends of Music" of Trapani with the assistance of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Tourism and the Region of Sicily - Regional Ministry of Tourism, Sport and the Entertainment and in collaboration with the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese - Theatre of Tradition and the "A. Receipt "of Trapani.
From ´November 8 until December 29, seven concerts in the scenario of the Seminary Palace Auditorium Santa Chiara Erice Casa Santa and the Church of St. Albert in Trapani. A particularly dynamic programming, which looks equally to the classics and to the twentieth century: the Friends of Music of Trapani guarantee once again a concert season in the name of the highest artistic quality and a diverse range of proposals.
You start, Sunday, November 8, at 18:30, at the Seminary Palace Auditorium Santa Chiara Erice Casa Santa, (Trapani), with the concerto for violin and piano duo Gazzana. A real tribute to the dance with music and songs from the repertoires nineteenth - twentieth century (to name a few Bela Bartok, Paganini, Manuel De Falla, Camille Saint-Saëns).
The Gazzana Duo is composed by sisters Natascia and Raffaella. Their musical journey began with renowned masters such as Bruno Canino, Ruggiero Ricci, Yehudi Menuhin, Corrado Romano, Piero Farulli, Pierre Amoyal. Their repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary and has a taste for research into musical territories little explored, often far apart in culture and history. Stand for the choice of programs, the heat of the interpretations, the stage presence and the harmony they create with the audience. Their Tournee touched several cities: from Milan to Seoul, from Rome to Hong Kong from Paris to Singapore, from Oslo to Zurich, from Stockholm to Cape Town, from Wellington to Berlin. They also exhibited for S.A.R. Prince Charles of England, on the occasion of the official visit to Italy, to mark the centenary of the birth of the composer William Walton. They have also been awarded as "Ambassadors of the city of Florence" and "Government guest" of Japan on the occasion of major celebrations of international relations between Italy and the country of the rising sun. They recently debuted in New York at the Robert Miller Gallery in Manhattan for "Look and Listen Festival" and in Tokyo at the Hakuju Healthron Hall.
The Duo Gazzana is the first training of Italian chamber music recording for ECM Records. The last CD with music by Poulenc, Walton, Dallapiccola, Silvestrov, Schnittke was ranked among the top ten CDs of 2014 by the Sunday Times. Further informations: www.duogazzana.com
