The well-known brand in Trapani Slow Food organizes an exceptional event: the first Master of Food devoted to beer and its millenary history. Four evenings devoted to news and beers oldest and most special, during which you will be able to go into the details of the selection of raw materials, the relative phase of production, methods of conservation, special glasses and combinations, as well as secrets of what is one of the most popular alcoholic beverages and appreciated in the world.
There was nothing missing facts: For the occasion, in fact, there will be a person of proven competence and reputation as Eugenio Signoroni, curator of the important driving Beers of Italy. Signoroni held four interesting lessons where there will be tastings of different kinds of beer, both homegrown and foreign, with emphasis on the areas of production, traditions and culture of the place of origin. Letīs see in detail the program of the event.
During the first lesson will be presented to the Master of Food, characteristics and geography of raw materials used for the production of beer, with manipulation and taste of water, malt and hops. There will be a guided tasting of five beers, in addition to tasting a beer Bergamo accompanied by a dish that will marry best with the type of beverage.
The second lesson will focus on the production of wort, fermentation, types of packaging, filtration, pasteurization and fermentation in the bottle. You can taste the other five types of beer a beer Bergamo with a special dish in combination.
During the third lesson we will talk about the culture and geography of beer, focusing on the familyīs beer: Lager (Germany, Czech Republic ...) and Ale (Belgium, UK ...). It will deepen the bond between the beer and the territory with an interesting focus on the situation of our country. During the fourth lesson we will talk about spontaneous fermentation and the wonderful world of lambic. It will give important information on the conservation of beers on their service (temperature, glasses and technique), and on the best combinations to do and offer. Also, you talk about the most alcoholic beers, aging, or that make a style in itself. The fourth lesson will once again the opportunity to taste five beers a beer Bergamo with a plate in accompaniment.
During the event will be delivered to all a kit consisting of: 6 cups, a pantry, a notebook for notes and the new Guide to Beer in Italy in 2015. The event will be held at the Divino Hotel, Trapani, in the hamlet of Rilievo (SS. 115) on 30 and 31 October, from 20 to 23, and 14 and 15 November from 20 to 23.
