From 22 to 24 May 2026, Villa Margherita in Trapani will host the seventh edition of Trapani Comix & Games, one of the most anticipated pop culture events in western Sicily. Organised by Nerd Attack ETS in collaboration with the Luglio Musicale Trapanese and the Municipality of Trapani, the festival is set to bring together comics, gaming, live entertainment and themed experiences in the city’s central public garden.
The 2026 edition is designed as a three-day event featuring comics, shows, games, exhibitions and activities for different age groups. According to the official website, the festival will include themed areas such as videogames, role-playing games, artist alley, Twitch area, medieval area, exhibition zone and the new Hanami Zone, inspired by Japanese culture and cherry blossom season.
Visitors can expect virtual reality, augmented reality, simulators, tabletop games, fantasy books, manga, gadgets and food stands, alongside artists, illustrators and exhibitors from across Italy. One of the first major names already announced is C. B. Cebulski, the current Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics, whose presence confirms the growing national profile of the festival.
The event will not be limited to Villa Margherita. The 2026 programme also includes the return of “Comix in Vetrina”, a project that turns shop windows across Trapani into illustrated displays inspired by comics, cinema and videogames. The initiative helps spread the festival atmosphere through the city centre and creates an open-air artistic route for residents and tourists alike.
The visual identity of the new edition is also one of its strongest elements. The official poster has been created by internationally acclaimed Italian artist Mirka Andolfo and reinterprets the local legend of the pirate Serisso through a contemporary female figure, set against the iconic rose window of the Church of Sant’Agostino. It is a choice that connects local history with modern pop imagery.
For travellers visiting Trapani in late May, Trapani Comix 2026 offers more than a niche fair. It is a lively city event combining entertainment, creativity and community, ideal for anyone looking to add a different and contemporary experience to their stay.
