From August 18 to 24, 2025, Villa Margherita in Trapani will host the third edition of the Trapani Film Festival – a full week of international cinema, music, and cultural entertainment. Sponsored by the Municipality of Trapani and supported by several public and private partners, the festival has become one of the highlights of the Sicilian summer, attracting tourists, film lovers, and industry professionals alike.
Each evening from 8:30 PM kicks off with the live show De Core Podcast, featuring Danilo da Fiumicino and Alessandro Pieravanti, with music by composer Roberto Procaccini. Following the podcast, screenings of short films from Italy and around the world will take center stage, competing for both jury and audience awards – with public voting made possible via QR code. This year’s artistic direction is led by Lele Vannoli, alongside Francesco Torre and Michael C. Allen.
Among the most anticipated guests are Pif (headlining the final night on August 24), Simona Cavallari (the festival’s official patron), Giovanni Esposito, Massimiliano Bruno, Ninni Bruschetta, Raiz, Antonio Di Martino, the Manetti Bros, comedy duo Matranga & Minafò with their show Real Fake, the Sud Sound System, and many other artists from across Italy.
In addition to the screenings, the festival features concerts, masterclasses, talks, and artistic performances, with a special focus on film soundtracks curated by Pivio and Aldo De Scalzi. A special preview event on August 17 will feature a concert by Maestro Marco Frisina, performing some of the greatest spiritual film scores.
The Trapani Film Festival is more than a film competition – it’s a multidisciplinary cultural platform aimed at promoting the region, fostering creative expression, and celebrating new artistic languages. It’s also proudly plastic-free, with electric transport for guests provided by partners Kia and Enegan.
