Also this year the international review "Stragusto" returns with its fifteenth edition with an increasingly rich program, which sees the participation of numerous restaurateurs in the gastronomic kermesse dedicated to street food and more.
For five days, from 26 to 30 July, Trapani´s "Ex Mercato del Pesce" square will once again become a huge open-air kitchen with scents, colors and flavors of food and wine products not only local but also from other parts of the Italy and foreigners in one truly amazing culinary tour.
The stands, open every evening from 18.30 to 24.00, will be managed by renowned restaurateurs such as the Antica focacceria San Francesco in Palermo, El Medina in Trapani, the Poseidone restaurant in Trapani, which as usual will prepare the much appreciated purpo or the octopus with breadcrumbs and then again the Il Vecchio Carro restaurant which will allow tourists and visitors to savor the ancient flavors of the Nebrodi.
And then again there will be roasts from Abruzzo, the classic couscous alla Trapani and, to go a little outside Italy, the strong Mexican flavors with its characteristic spicy dishes.
There will be sweets and even if Christmas has long passed, the Madonie nougat factory will let us taste its magnificent nougat. However, for those who want to stay cool, the live Sicilian artisan granita will be guaranteed. Obviously good food must be combined with the right wine with the wine tasting on the walls of Tramontana with a selection of the best local wines.
The event is organized as always by the Trapani Welcome association under the patronage of the municipality of Trapani and also includes a rich entertainment program with live musical performances.
