We will be held on October 3 in the square "Former Fish Market" in Trapani the first edition of the Festival of Pizza organized by the provincial section of the FIP (Federation of Italian pizza chefs in the world) and sponsored by the city of Trapani.
FIP is an association, which was founded in 2003 with the aim of qualifying the Italian restaurants, especially pizzerias, to make known the pizza and the multiple specialties. In addition, the associative entity works as a body for protection of subscribers pizza and training, issuing appropriate certificates of qualification for those wishing to undertake the job of pizza.
It ´the first time that the city is realized such an event, because so many times in the past the square was location of many culinary events, but never for an event dedicated to pizza, which is the most famous dish in the world, because here in Italy it was invented in Italy and always finds its greatest expression.
So really it is missing an event, which would give the most significant contribution to culinary excellence, that even children in kindergartens eat with such gusto.
The local branch of Trapani FIP organized from 16 onwards on Monday 3 October, a series of events starting with the baby workshops, where children will also compete in the dough and in their preparation; so not only great pizza eaters, but also pizza with lots of final certificate.
Following the performances of the largest pizza makers, as they prepare the pizza in different ways nell´immancabile wood oven; Finally there will be the traditional performance of acrobatic pizza makers, who always make entertain young and old.
