He will start on July 27 the eighth edition of "Stragusto", which is not a simple festival, but a festival dedicated to street food, a mix of flavors and odors, which involves all the historical center of Trapani.

The event, organized by the Trapani Welcome in collaboration with the PS Advert and with the sponsorship of the city of Trapani, also for the 2016 edition takes place in the Square Fish Market, where there will be many exhibition stands, in which many operators Sicilian food and not only will prepare the many specialties of street food, commonly called "street food", which was born as poor food, very low cost, cooked and eaten on the street.

The gastronomic event according to a proven formula for some time now propose every evening from 18.30 to 24.00 for tasting specialties not only of our country, as cabbuci, arancini, fritters, cakes, rascadura, seafood and couscous Trapani, but also dishes from every country of Italy as the lampredotto of Florence, Trapizzino of Rome to get to the classic bread ca meusa of Palermo (the sandwich with the spleen of lemon flavored beef or cheese), the sfincioni (pan stuffed pizza) and croquettes. In addition there will be pasticciotti and ravioli Pantelleria. But there are even "u purpu" (the octopus) and the sweet island. Finally there will be the traditional nougats of the Madonie.



In addition to these products for tasting prepared live, even the program this year includes several entertainment and educational moments like free evening show cooking and tasting for a fee, because the classic street food is a cultural heritage, which must preserving all those contaminations even global, investing even the food and wine sector.

The goal of Stragusto for over 7 years is to raise awareness among young Sicilians and tourists visiting these foods are a heritage to be valued, because the producers of "street food are real craftsmen who hand down from father to son this cultural heritage.

If it is true that a people is what he eats, then Sicily is a land that for centuries welcomes and preserves its traditions.
