The event will take place on Friday, August 28, Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, 2026. Tastings and activities will be held in the historic centre of Erice, between Piazza della Loggia, Piazza San Giuliano and Piazza San Domenico, from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am.
The format is especially suitable for visitors staying in the province of Trapani: you can stroll through the streets of the village, stop at the stands, taste local and national wines, and combine the evening with a visit to one of the most charming places in western Sicily.
During Borgo diVino Erice 2026 there will be more than 30 local and national wineries, with a selection of Sicilian and Italian labels. Among the wines mentioned by the organisers are Erice DOC, Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG, Catarratto and Grillo, together with other wines from different Italian regions.
Admission to the event is free. Visitors who want to take part in the tastings can buy a voucher for €20, valid for 8 wine tastings. A €2 deposit is required for the glass and will be refunded at the end of the route. Food specialities can be purchased directly on site and are not included in the tasting ticket.
Borgo diVino is a good opportunity to experience Erice in the evening, when the medieval village becomes even more atmospheric. The event combines wine tastings, food, music and cultural activities, but it is also an easy way to discover the historic centre beyond the usual daytime visit.
Before or after the event, it is worth taking some time to explore the main attractions of the village: the Castle of Venus, the Cathedral, the Balio Gardens, Torretta Pepoli and the panoramic viewpoints overlooking Trapani, the salt pans and the Egadi Islands. To plan your visit, you can read our guide on what to see in Erice.
Erice can be easily reached from Trapani by car or by cable car. A convenient option for tourists is to leave the car in the valley area and go up to the village with the Erice cable car, after checking the timetable and service availability.
Visitors who want to spend a few days in the area can choose to stay in Trapani, which is convenient for reaching Erice, the salt pans, the port for the Egadi Islands and the main destinations in the province. Here you can find a selection of B&Bs in Trapani to help you organise your stay.
