Once again this year they getting ready for the Carnival of Aegadian, which now enjoys a tradition, which has been consolidated over time.
The event is part of the perspective of seasonal adjustment of tourism, in which Favignana and the other islands of the archipelago have long implemented to provide residents and visitors a picture of the place, that is not just sun and sea, but also something more.
The first events are scheduled for 2016 is the "Carnival of the Egadi", which will involve the population in different ways.
At Favignana it was decided to give priority to children and animate their parties in particular.
It begins Thursday, February 4, just with a parade of children including "Rallo" in the public square from 9.30.
Continue Friday, February 5 from 15 to 17 still with an afternoon dedicated to children of the marquee Quarry St. Anne, as well as 6 February, at the same time. In the evening, however, from the 22, there is a night for adults.
February 7, will the classic parade through the streets of the country and 22 are back in the marquee of Quarry St. Anne to dance.
On February 8, at 9:30 back the animation in the public square for children and in the afternoon once Parade of Chariots, irreverently depicting the characters from the worlds of politics, entertainment and current events in general. The evening will close with dancing for adults in Quarry St. Anne.
To Favignana is a long and detailed timetable, which continues until the day on February 9 to 15 with a parade of floats.
For the day of Carnevalone February 13 demonstrations will end at 22.00 with the meeting of the families still in Tent Cava Sant´Anna for evening ball.
Instead Marettimo Carnival 2016 kicks off on Thursday, February 4 at 16:00 with the animation for kids and at 20:00 when food and wine for lovers of good food with the sausage festival with dance party in the oratory of the parish.
Friday, February 5 at 21:30 an evening of masquerade ball with prize giving of disguise more fun and original and sweet tasting of typical carnival.
Saturday, February 6 at 17:00 gathering of floats and parade through the streets of the town; return oratory and tasting bread cunzato with musical evening.
Sunday, February 7 at 20:00 festival of bacon plus musical entertainment. Finally Tuesday, February 9 the traditional "Rogo of Nanni".
