Everything is ready in Favignana for the seventh edition of the Festivalflorio scheduled from June 16th to 23rd, which since 2013 has been one of the most glamorous summer events of the summer in the Egadi archipelago, because it is an international event, where the brand is substantially promoted of Favignana thanks to the participation of great European artists, who offer the public a truly varied program.
The purpose of this event is not only to promote culture, which is important, but also tourism, and these days we really need it given the crisis that has been gripping the airport of the same name for many months now. event sponsored by the Marine Protected Area "Egadi Islands" with the artistic direction of Giuseppe Scorzelli.
The opening of the Festival is scheduled for June 16th with the musical show "Baciami Piccina" which takes up the title of a famous song by the mythical Quartetto Cetra.
The show is played by Daniela Terreri, a great actress and singer who is making sold out in all Italian theaters, while the closing of the show was entrusted to DuoFlac from Germany.
Also this year the "Cinema Muto" and "Pianoforte" shows will not be missing, with the screening of the film dedicated to the legendary Fausto Coppi at one hundred years from birth; for what concerns the music, instead, there is also an evening with the piano performance of the composer Rossella Spinosa, who performs "Le Voyage dans la Lune", as well as a review of the most beautiful Sicilian songs of the nineteenth century thanks to the collaboration of Trapani Scontrino Conservatory.
The Festivalflorio is also an opportunity to reward the excellences that stand out for their commitment to society thanks to the Favignana Award, which will be assigned on 19 June to Senator Monica Cirinnā, famous for having promoted the much-discussed law on civil unions, but necessary to guarantee equal rights for the weakest categories.
Also on 19 June there will also be a screening of the documentary "Il Castello di Rete" which was to serve to celebrate the historic restart of the Tonnara di Favignana, but with the new allocation of tuna quotas, this recovery of activities will no longer exist.
At the Festivalflorio not only the show is the protagonist, but also the kitchen, which if done right, can be in itself a show with a Sicilian cuisine masterclass with the participation of the well-known Egadine cooks, the sisters Maria and Giovanna Guccione.
In short, it will be a week full of cultural initiatives at 360 degrees.
