Throughout the month of August it has launched a program of summer events from the town of Erice, with the collaboration of the Foundation Erice Art and the contribution of the Archaeological Association and Erykinon Group Save Erice.
It ´a review of cultural events, which will alternate evenings of classical music, jazz and light and photographic exhibitions to further enhance the historic center, which is taken literally assaulted by tourists especially during the months of August and September.
The city administration, however, and the other organizers have identified other locations such as the Teatro Gebel Hamed, where on August 17 there will be a screening of a documentary organized by the Unesco Club of Erice.
Even Piazzetta San Giuliano will be the site of some concerts like jazz scheduled August 22 with Robert Brusca Quartet and August 24 with "The Children of a minor". Both will start at 21.00 hours.
Pop music, however, will have room Aug. 29 with Cythéres Vallis Chorus "at 21.00.
Also the picturesque courtyards will ericini location by the association of poetry readings "Save Erice" 26 August at 18.00 and an exhibition of orchids on August 27 by the Lions group of Trapani.
Space also for the medieval historical processions through the streets of the village on August 30 and the setting of a medieval village, which are well suited to Erice, which is the medieval town, which has remained intact in its image.
Finally the State Museums A. Cordici from 21 August to 4 September a painting of Ferdinand Friend exhibition, whose theme is "Erice: between myths and celebrities."
