Lovers of painting and art in general can not miss the exhibition since its opening on July 6 last year, showed a considerable number of visitors. There is still time until next October 26 to watch at the Convent of the Carmine in Marsala, the dramatic and evocative paintings of Francesco Grandi staff to "Archetypes of painting restless."
Landscapes, portraits, desolate deserts, shipwrecks and episodes from the Passion of Christ, small and large, both on canvas and on paper: these are the themes and characteristics of the works on display at the event organized by Sergio Troisi, which will allow us to enter and peer into the inner life and the inner artistic talent of Francesco De Grandi, which defines painting as a "daily practice, a means of spiritual elevation, a monastic exercise."
The visitor is not left alone with the pictures, but you can find a valuable contribution thanks to the appropriate catalog published by Two Points Editions of Palermo.
The National Exhibition of Contemporary Painting "City of Marsala" organized an event in thickness, as it is wont to do: think of the major exhibitions organized in time, among which it is worth to remember that a few years ago devoted entirely Fausto Pirandello, the painter, son of the Nobel Prize for Literature Luigi Pirandello. Already it has been brought up, remember that you can admire, even for a few days, some of his most important works at the plant Florio of Favignana, the exhibition curated by renowned art critic Vittorio Sgarbi.
