From 20 to 24 May 2026, San Vito Lo Capo will host the International Kite Festival, one of the most charming spring events in Sicily. Official opening of the festival with an opening parade, institutional greetings, kite school performances and the opening of the free flying area.
Thursday 21 May
First major flying day with giant inflatable kites, Rokkaku kite battles, workshops for children and adults, and evening entertainment.
Friday 22 May
Second main festival day, again focused on beach flying sessions, giant kites, workshops and entertainment activities.
Saturday 23 May
The most anticipated evening will be the Night of the Illuminated Kites, featuring LED-lit kites and live music.
Sunday 24 May
Closing day of the festival.
The heart of the event is on the beach of San Vito Lo Capo, where visitors can watch performances by kite flyers from different parts of Italy and abroad.
