From August 27 to 31, 2025, the charming coastal town of San Vito Lo Capo will once again become a vibrant open-air stage for San Vito Jazz, a refined music festival celebrating the best of Italian and international jazz. First launched in 1993 as a tribute to Sicilian jazz musician Maurizio Peraino, the event has grown into an annual tradition, curated by his brother Dario Peraino, and supported by the town’s tourism operators and local administration.
Performances take place each evening in some of the town’s most scenic spots, including the garden of Palazzo La Porta and several picturesque squares, where the sounds of jazz blend naturally with the sea breeze and golden sunset. Over the years, the festival has hosted world-class musicians such as guitarist Irio De Paula, vibraphonist Joe Locke, the Petrucciani Brothers with Nathalie Blanc, New York pianist Aaron Goldberg, and prominent Sicilian jazz artists like Mimmo Cafiero, Cinzia and Loredana Spada, Salvatore Bonafede, and Orazio Maugeri.
This year’s edition introduces an exciting new feature: the Jazz School. Promising young talents from Sicily’s top jazz conservatories will perform alongside their mentors, offering audiences a fresh and dynamic showcase of the genre’s next generation. Trumpet virtuoso Fabrizio Bosso is also expected to be among the highlights of the 2025 lineup.
San Vito Jazz is more than just a music event—it’s an experience that perfectly matches the natural beauty and cultural charm of San Vito Lo Capo, known for its crystal-clear waters, white sand beach, and the dramatic backdrop of Monte Monaco. Attending the festival means immersing yourself in the warm, laid-back rhythm of Sicilian summer nights, where jazz melodies echo through blooming alleyways and seafront promenades.
The festival is part of a broader cultural calendar that includes literary events like "Books, Authors & Bougainvilleas", the SiciliAmbiente Film Festival, live performances, and the internationally renowned Cous Cous Fest in late September.
Visitors can easily plan their stay by browsing the dedicated San Vito Lo Capo page on Hotel-Trapani.com, where they’ll find tips on local attractions, beaches, excursions, restaurants, and cultural sites. Booking accommodations is simple thanks to the search engine at the top of the portal, which helps you find B&Bs, hotels, or apartments suited to your travel needs.
Whether you´re a jazz enthusiast or simply looking for an authentic Mediterranean escape, San Vito Jazz 2025 offers the perfect combination of great music, seaside beauty, and vibrant local life. Don’t miss the chance to experience one of Sicily’s most captivating summer events.
