The new tourist season in San Vito Lo Capo will be very rich in proposals, which will officially begin on 21 April with a series of outdoor sports activities for the youngest as part of the "A Tutto Sport" initiative.
It continues on May 23, after the forced stop of recent years due to the pandemic, with the traditional Kite Festival, now in its twelfth edition, which will have peace and dialogue between nations as its guiding thread and never like this year. this issue is topical due to the war in Ukraine. The kite is the symbol of childhood and freedom, sometimes denied and therefore the message that rights must be respected must resonate even more strongly. As always, during the event, which ends on 29 May, there will be workshops for adults and children and lots of fun.
The month of June opens under the banner of integration and accessibility for the disabled with the "Zero Barriere" event with a whole week, from 2 to 5 June, dedicated to accessible sport.
Also in these days there will be a new initiative in the name of tango with the "Tango Marathon" event, a dance full of charm and seduction, which fits well in a place like San Vito Lo Capo, rich in history and suggestions.
On the occasion of the patronal feast of the seaside village, from 13 to 15 June there will be an evocative historical re-enactment of the Saintīs landing, accompanied by a festival of lights and sounds with fireworks.
Another novelty this year is the arrival of circus art in San Vito Lo Capo from 17 to 19 June with San Vito Buskers, the Circus and Street Art Festival.
Also the month of July will be equally full of events and manifestations in the name of cinema, culture, sport and literature. It starts on 11 July with SiciliAmbiente Film Festival, which has reached its 14th edition, while from 21 to 24 July everyone will be on the pitch for the event dedicated to basketball with tournaments and dedicated camps for adults and children. Finally, the traditional review dedicated to books will not be missing this year either, with the presence of famous writers who will cheer up the evenings of "Books, Authors and Bounganville" until September.
August is still sport with the beach soccer tournament that will offer, as always, great entertainment and emotions with sport on the beach and then much more to serve as a prologue to the queen event of the San Vito summer which is the "Cous Cous Fest", now in 25th edition. It is not just a gastronomic festival dedicated to couscous, but over the years it has increasingly become an opportunity for cultural integration that brings together different countries and cultures in San Vito Lo Capo from 16 to 25 September.
Over the years San Vito Lo Capo has taught us that the seasonal adjustment of tourism must be the fundamental rule to keep a tourist circuit active, which constantly attracts many tourists, and that is why for some years the tourist bill has been extended up to the month. in October with other sporting events that are "Outdoor Fest" from 12 to 16 October, dedicated to outdoor sports enthusiasts, "Triathlon Sprint", on 16 October, while from 21 to 30 October competitions dedicated to runners who love to run on the road and on the beach.
In short, a series of events for all tastes for a summer marked by the restart and the desire for freedom.
