The fourth edition of the Sunset Festival in Marsala kicks off next July 20, with the aim of involving residents and tourists in a series of events and collateral events that are cultural, food and wine and sports at a particular time of the day. that is the sunset where nature unleashes all its charm in a really suggestive show.
The idea of this festival was born in 2016 in a square in Marsala, now called Piazza del Tramonto, just to highlight the place where a tourist event was born and developed, which the following year became itinerant, in order to appreciate the sunset show in different places of the city.
Among the events that accompany the festival, there will be the photo contest "A click at sunset" to immortalize during the days of the event the moment of sunset, clouds permitting and will start on July 20 in various areas of Marsala, from the center to the periphery .
The Sunset Festival is organized thanks to the synergy of various associations and interested bodies with the organizational coordination of the Sunset Festival and Vivere Marsala associations, with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Marsala, the Sicily Region and the Chamber of Commerce.
Many, however, are the sponsors, who give their contribution for an event that has a really interesting program with the opening at 18.00 in Piazza SS. Filippo and Giacomo and where always in this square on 28 July there will also be the final moment with the proclamation of the winning photo of the photo contest.
Also this year the theme of the festival is linked to World Earth Day with a particular eye, therefore, to environmental issues, the importance of recycling plastic and not abandoning waste at sea.
