The next April 4, the famous art critic Vittorio Sgarbi, but just do not talk about art policy, bringing on stage Caravaggio, the famous painter of the Italian Renaissance.
E ´him, indeed, the star of the evening and, Vittorio Sgarbi, will not be nothing to do but to illustrate to the general public Marsala technique, the art, but also the many curiosities that revolve around a painter whose paintings are characterized by a strong dramatic realism.
In its short existence Caravaggio was very successful, producing many works, including the famous painting "The Crucifixion of St. Peter".
According to official historiography, the particularity of this event, compared to the crucifixion of Christ, lies in the peculiar crucifixion upside down.
Caravaggio is also an interesting character not only from an artistic point of view, but also for stormy private life and particularly restless.
The painter has in fact facing serious ups and downs in his life, which led him to have serious trouble with the law as well as the many love stories.
Most likely he died July 18, 1610 due to an intestinal fever badly treated.
Vittorio Sgarbi will tell all these stories through his paintings, some of which were on display at the Pepoli Museum of Trapani in 2008.
