Inaugurated on August 5, the sixth edition of the gastronomic "Baglio Oil and Sea", which until August 7 will be in the "Bay of Santa Margherita" in Castelluzzo, a hamlet a few kilometers from San Vito Lo Capo, and will allow tourists tasting of dishes based on fish.
The event is organized by the cultural tourist "Castelluzzo", which in recent years has been to re-launch, together with the citizens and economic operators the fraction of Castelluzzo.
As part of this activity, in fact, actually Castelluzzo is no longer a place abandoned and placed in the shade from the nearby San Vito Lo Capo, but has its own light thanks to events that highlight.
One of them, we said, is "Baglio, Oil and Sea", festival that from 2011 aims to raise awareness of a stretch of unspoiled coastline and propose a variety of fish specialties, which are caught here.
The good fresh fish lovers can eat squid, shrimp, sardines, and anchovies maccarruneddu, which will be fried in a giant pan of three meters in diameter, but the menu will not fail sword fish and blue fish cooked on the grill.
During the lunch hour, from 12 to 15, the oil tastings that is extracted from the olive groves of the area will be offered along the beach by the association "Castelluzzo" at St. Margaretīs Bay, where also you can attend, virtually in direct, the frying of the fish.
For tasting the "Castelluzzo" Association provides for two types of menus, which you can sample in the first busiate Trapanese, fried fish, bruschetta, yellow melon and a glass of wine, while the second menu provides only for the catch of the day (squid, cod, anchovies, sardines and prawns), yellow melon and a glass of wine.
In the evening, however, the appointment is from 20 to 23, with tastings in the city center of Castelluzzo with mixed grilled fish, yellow melon and a glass of wine.
"Baglio, oil and sea" is not just tasting open to the public, but also shows and moments of analysis devoted to oil and local wine.
