It will be held on 8 and 9 August in Erice and 10 August on the waterfront of St. Giuliano, the second edition of the artery Festival and the Prize Silvia Carrubba, "pan-festival" Sicilian for the second consecutive year will host musicians, photographers, painters, artisans, portrait painters, body painters, and artists of all kinds, with the ´ objective of creating a traveling show involving the largest possible number of disciplines and artistic activities.
Special guests will be the hijackers of Cuba, returned to the forefront of the Italian music scene with the single "Words", on all national radio stations from May 10, 2013, and will close the event Sunday, August 10.
Opening the festival from Piazza Balio towers Erice Saturday, August 8th at 21.30, the precious guitar Gigi Cifarelli and his jazz band. Among the musical guests also scheduled D-Slaves (winners of Silvia Carrubba 2012), The Brass Beddi and Screensavers. Music and photography characterize this second edition, demonstrating that the real show artery Festival is once again the meeting between the arts, generating nucleus of the festival and the award dedicated to the memory of Silvia Carrubba.
The Prize Silvia Carrubba, last year dedicated to music, in the 2013 chose to reward new talent with a photo contest with the theme "the smile." The jury of professional photographers, composed by Giovanna Griffo (chairman), Peter Lazzari, Baldo Messina, Virginia and Andrea Panichi Pugiotto, decreed the twelve finalists of the competition: Andrea Eagle, Benedetta Fontana, Daniela Silvestri, Federica Furneri, Francesca Salice, Francesco Anselmo, Francesco Bellina, Grace De Lucca, Ignatius Sguera, Marina Galici, Rosaria Maid, Sara Bolognini, who will have the opportunity to participate in a free workshop held by Giovanna Griffo (Camera Raw 7.0) on 8 and 9 August in Erice. The photographs included in the portfolio of each finalist will be on display in an exhibition, held at the Museum of Polo Humanistic Erice from 8th to 19th August (h 10.00-12.00 / / 15:00 to 19:00). The exhibition will be inaugurated on August 8, coinciding with the opening day of the artery Festival. On August 10, during the final evening, the same jury will decide among the twelve finalists the winner of Silvia Carrubba, who will win an Amazon voucher worth € 2,000.
During the same evening will be rewarded with a Canon EOS 1100D Kit, Vito Caleca, winner of the collateral "I Like", assigned to the photograph that received the highest praise ("Like") on the official Facebook page of the event https://www.facebook.com/arteriafestival.
