A few years ago, ´ winery Firriato had decided to impiatare a vineyard of 5 hectares in the district Calamone island of Favignana.
The project was ambitious and reported, after nearly a century, the cultivation of grapes in the main island of the Egadi focusing on only typical of the area and unique exposure to the estate.
The project, other than to be effective from the point of view of the industrial side, because of the jobs created, it was also interesting from the point of view of natural scenery and tourism, contributing to the improvement of the location ´ Favignana island of floristic elements consistent with the Mediterranean sea and its ecosystem.
Today Firriato goes a step further and, combining tradition and innovation, today announced the online direct harvest in Favignana collecting the requests of many fans of the wine world.
The harvest this year will be the second ever made in the district and its direct Calamone will begin at 10:30 am on Monday, August 27, 2012. As per tradition, will be made a toast of good luck-based "Favinia The Muciara", a precious white wine produced from grapes harvested in the same district Calamone with the harvest last year.
