COUS COUS FEST: NEW EDITION IN A WORLD FULL OF COLORS

It is with the slogan "What a colorful world " the next edition of the Cous Cous Fest, international festival of cultural integration in the program in San Vito Lo Capo (Trapani), 21 to 26 September 2010. The event , presented at the BIT in Milan in the presence of , among others, the mayor of San Vito Lo Capo, Matthew Rizzo, of the main protagonists and main sponsor of the festival , celebrates a comparison between countries in the euro -Mediterranean and only , inspired by a dish that is common to many cultures of peace .
Bit to the City of San Vito Lo Capo and ´ was present with a booth where institutional alternated moments of tasting couscous to San Vito , organized by the San Vito cereriana cooks . The event, now into its thirteenth edition , is inspired by a world full of color , a " colorful world " where live the differences between cultures, peoples and traditions , the spirit of the festival of San Vito fact that starring cous cous dish rich in history and an element of synthesis between cultures , a symbol of openness , miscegenation and contamination.
Edward Raspelli , at the helm for the second consecutive year , the jury of journalists who will assess ´ the cous cous in the race, will be´ joined this year by the presenter of Blue Line, Donatella Bianchi and journalist Laura Ravaioli , an expert on food. The central moment of the event will be ´ , as usual, the culinary competition .
A competition , more ´ than anything else, and ´ a friendly confrontation between chefs from different countries interpret the couscous according to their own traditions . Italy , winner of the 2009 , must ´ defend his title confronted with seven other countries in the Mediterranean and beyond. The program also between chefs culinary challenges , moments of depth , cooking workshops and performances that will alternate on stage at the Cous Cous Fest many artists of international renown.
A preview of the event will take place ´ in June in San Vito Lo Capo when you place your selections for the chef participant in the Italian team that will compete ´ to the next Cous Cous Fest. This year, moreover , the journey between cultures and rituals of the peoples of the Cous Cous Fest does not stop at San Vito Lo Capo , it goes around the European continent through a road show that will see ´land within the event of the main Italian and European trade fairs dedicated to tourism.
