Trapani is getting ready to be swept away by the energy of salsa, the sensual rhythm of bachata and the lively steps of merengue. From February 27 to March 1, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele will turn into an open-air stage dedicated to Caribbean music, dance and culture.
In recent years, Caribbean dances have become a true social trend in the city, thanks to local dance schools that teach salsa, bachata and merengue in their many styles and variations. Beyond the fun, these dances help improve coordination, endurance and muscle tone, making every evening both exciting and dynamic.
For three days, the heart of Trapani will come alive with performances, music and shows on a main stage, where dance groups will showcase spectacular choreographies. Salsa will captivate the audience with its energetic rhythm and intricate figures, bachata will create a more intimate and sensual atmosphere, while merengue will invite everyone onto the dance floor with its simple and easy-to-learn steps.
The festival will also feature a dedicated street food area organized by the Italian Street Restaurateurs Association, offering tastings and specialties to enjoy between dances.
The event aims to celebrate South American cultural and culinary traditions, encourage cultural exchange, and boost the city’s social and tourist appeal.
Three days of music, flavors and shared experiences to enjoy Trapani in a vibrant and festive Caribbean atmosphere.
