“Angelino" was founded in 1960 in the central street - Via delle Arti, in the heart of the historic centre of Trapani, specializing in “tavola calda” (street food) and gastronomy. In 1995 the owner Angelo Galati from Palermo moved to via Ammiraglio Staiti, opposite the embarkation for the Egadi Islands, where he decided to expand his business also offering a bar, pastry shop, ice cream parlour and catering service. The evolution of "Angelino" was immediately a great success, so much so that it encouraged the company to introduce new specialties, such as arancine with seafood for the street food counter, lemon ricotta cassata for the pastry counter and many other delicacies. Today the "Angelino" eatery has become a symbol of the city of Trapani, a destination for many locals but also for many tourists, thanks to its location near the port. The merit of the unforgettable owner Angelo Galati, known to all as ´Angelino´, and of his historic diner, was in fact precisely what made the local gastronomy specialties known even outside the area. At the "Angelino" eatery you can enjoy a rich assortment of typical dishes from Palermo, to which traditional dishes from Trapani have also been added over time: oven-baked pasta rings from Palermo, classic couscous based on fish, Sardinian “beccafico”, tuna marinated “allaTrapanese “, caponata and many other gastronomic specialties typical of Sicilian cuisine.
